Democrats and Republicans entered their final day of campaigning ahead of Tuesday's elections in three states, Fox News reported.
Vice President Joe Biden will join Monday Democratic candidate Bill Owens’ head-to-head fight against Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman for New York’s 23rd congressional district electiom. Dede Scozzafava, GOP candidate that dropped out of the race, endorsed Owens on Sunday.
“A year ago people went to the polls just like we will Tuesday and said, ‘Yes We Can,’” New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine told 13,500 Democrats in the Prudential Center arena, referring to Obama’s campaign slogan in 2008. “President Obama needs us to keep that going.”
President Obama headlined two rallies for Corzine on Sunday, Bloomberg reported. His opponent, Republican Chris Christie, also rallied across the state.
“You need to work hard on Tuesday," Obama told a Camden crowd Sunday. "I need you to go back into your neighborhood. I'm going to need you to knock on doors. I'm going to need you to do the same thing you did last year."
The latest Quinnipiac University poll showed Christie with a 2-point lead over Corzine, a spread within the margin of error, the AP reported.
