The CIA is looking for "a few good men" of their own; especially those of Middle Eastern descent.
In a rare move, the CIA will release a television commercial on mainstream and ethnic networks to recruit U.S. Arabs. The commercial will hit airwaves within the next few months.
The CIA has been actively recruiting new members since 2001. Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have increased the demand for Arab linguists. Tensions with Iran has placed further demand on Persian speakers.
According to Fox News, the CIA held a private screening of the new commercial in Dearborn, Mich., home to the state's largest Arab community. The advertisement was greeted warmly.
The CIA has traditionally used websites and newspaper listings to advertise job positions written in strict bureaucratic style. Other television ads have appeared seeking scientists and financial analysts. The new television ad is an agency first because of its story-telling structure.
