A suicide bomber killed 35 people and wounded many more in Pakistan earlier Monday. The blast occurred just outside of a government bank, a short distance away from the capital of Islamabad.
The blast coincided with the first business day of the month in which many people, particularly government workers, collect monthly salaries. The attack appeared to be aimed at the military, with many of the victims being soldiers.
No party has claimed immediate responsibility for the bombing at this time.
The attack has disrupted many, including one father who is struggling to find his son in the aftermath of the explosion.
"I parked my car in the bank car park, and my child was sitting inside," Mohammad Saleem told AP. "Now they're not giving me permission to go and look, and I don't know where my child is."
